Question: Is it necessary to tap for EFT to be effective?

Answer: No, its not necessary to tap to for EFT to be effective, although many people get excellent results from tapping.  Psychologist Dr. John Diepold has created an alternate method of stimulating the EFT (and TFT) points which he calls Touch and Breathe.  You may prefer it.  With his method, you merely place your fingers lightly on each spot and hold them there while repeating your Set-Up and Reminder phrases.  It works particularly well if your temperament is favorable to a more quiet, gradual approach.
