 (NOTE: To volunteer you must first register for the teleseminar)


Please provide the following information by typing it into each blank box:

1.) Are you available to participate in the teleseminar this coming Saturday or Sunday, Nov . 1 or 2 at 4pm (Eastern US Time)? If so, on which one of these days?

2.) If you cannot participate in the teleseminar on Nov. 1 or 2, do you want to be placed on the volunteer list for future teleseminars?

3.)
If you are selected to participate in a teleseminar, will you be able to guarantee true quiet at your end of the phone (when your phone line is open) so that there are no dogs barking, family members intruding or interacting with you, sounds of TV or radio in the background, or other extraneous sounds that can interfere with the broadcast? This requirement means making the effort to create a special “quiet environment” in your home during the phone call. You may or may not be able to do this.

Bear in mind that if your telephone has a “mute” button on it (most relatively new phones do) that you can effectively mute the sounds around you during the call by pressing that button – and later voluntarily “unmute” yourself by pressing this same button again when you want to participate.  It is when your phone is unmuted that you must be especially careful to ensure a quiet environment.  You can also press the mute button on your phone if a situation should arise in your home which requires immediate attention during the telecast.

4.) Do you have a landline or cordless phone in your home which you can use during the call? Cell phones are not suitable because they can cause serious electrical interference, and you cannot use an Internet based (Voice Over IP) phone line for this same reason.

5.) Please outline briefly – in a sentence or two – what issue you would like to address during the class if called upon. You can switch to another issue if necessary on the day of the call, but it will help if you indicate your area of present concern so we plan for a diversity of issues.
