Dear Friends,
I'm writing to let you know about an exciting new website which will
be launched in the next 1-2 months, called EFT International.
The primary purpose of the website is to provide online listings for
EFT Practitioners and Workshops, along with products and other
resources, from qualified practitioners around the world.
As the producer of the new EFT Documentary, Try It On Everything,
I have been inundated with requests to list qualified practitioners
and workshops on our site in the past few months. Since Gary made his
most recent announcements about ongoing changes in his listing of
practitioners and workshops, these requests have increased.
Let me quickly say, before I get tons of emails about it, that I
respect Gary's decision and see why he had to do what he did.
Everyone has their opinion as to how he could have done it
differently, or not at all, but ultimately, he has a right, and a
significant right, to do what he thinks is best not only for EFT but
for his personal peace of mind! The site that we are creating is not
meant to compete with Gary, but to provide an additional resource, as
you will see when I outline the basics of the new site.
EFT International will be a state of the art, database-driven
community site, where practitioners can sign up and post their own
profiles and their workshop listings for a modest fee. Practitioners
will be able to have a photo of themselves, videos, audios, a blog,
articles and other resources in their listing- serving almost as a
greatly expanded yellow pages listing for them. With the functionality
of this listing, I imagine many practitioners, particularly new ones,
may well use their listing as their primary webpage.
Practitioners will also be able to list ALL of their credentials, in
EFT and other fields. along with workshop experience, etc. and we will
have a “key” on the site that explains to new users what each
certification means, what people had to go through to get it, etc.
All this is being developed as you read this letter. As you can
imagine, a site this comprehensive is expensive to build and
maintaining it won't be cheap either, so there will be a monthly cost
to be listed. Like any form of advertising, each practitioner will
have to determine the cost/benefit of this listing.
Now, I've kept what I believe is the most exciting part of this new
site to tell you about last- an element which I believe will help
alleviate some of the current concerns about the status of EFT as a
whole. Practitioners will create their paid for advertising account
on the site, and regular visitors to the site will have an opportunity
to create a free account. This free account will give them the
opportunity to "Rate" practitioners they have worked with or workshops
they have taken (along with products they have used) on a
comprehensive scale which is now being developed with the help of EFT
Experts from around the world. Users will rate, on a 0-5 star basis,
on a variety of categories, along with being able to offer free-form
feedback (as many of you have seen on Amazon.com and other sites)
I think most of us have had the experience of making a buying decision
based on somebody else's feedback, now this will apply to finding an
EFT practitioner, workshop, or product!
This user rating system is to serve as a self-policing mechanism
within the EFT community. For those who fear a negative review,
which might happen even to the best practitioner (perhaps the two
people just didn't get along), Practitioners will have an opportunity
to respond to particular feedback, and it's likely that on the whole
positive reviews will outweigh negative ones. I have bought plenty of
books from Amazon that had great reviews and dismal ones right next to
each other, it is the nature of this kind of system.
If someone truly is not doing a good job as a practitioner or workshop
leader or has a poor product to sell, this system will serve not only
to bring that to light but also perhaps to give that particular
practitioner an incentive to improve!

We all need to remember that EFT is healthier and happier than it's
ever been before! Everyone out there is doing their best, so let's
not forget that and let's not forget why we all do what we do: Because
we care about this world and the people in it!
